The Global Educator, by Julie Lindsay

  • My video will be about wearable technology and how it helps people around the world that are sick.
  • Most of the people that are sick don't have know that they are actually sick and can live most of their lives not knowing that they have a horrible condition.
  • Wearable technology can also help detect sleep quality, heart rate, stress, skin temperature, respiratory rate and help those with diabetes as well.

Very interesting topic! Your outline of your presentation definitely leaves me wanting to learn more.

I think this is a very interesting take on this topic. I'm excited to see the final product!

I like the topic and the fact that you are exploring the health side of wearable technology. How do you plan on tackling it? Will you speak on 2-3 specific devices (insulin pump, heart rate monitor, etc) or something different? Consider the format you want to use and then it may be helpful to sketch out a quick storyboard or a short script: What will your intro look like, what will you say in the video, what software/media will you use to create your video, etc. Do you plan on recording yourself or creating something electronically (PowerPoint, Animoto)?

I've done a couple of presentations using online cartoon software:  PowToon.com or GoAnimate.com They have free options, but you should be aware that the free versions usually mean that the company's watermark will be visible over your content. You seem to have a good angle that you are exploring. Once you flesh out more details of how you will put it together, I think your presentation will come together nicely. :)

This is going to be an interesting topic. I am intrigued to find out what kind of wearable technology you are talking about. Are these technologies easily accessible to everyone? Has anyone invented an economically priced friendly version for those in poor countries?

How are you going to tell this story and are  you going to tell the story of a specific person?
