My updates from Australia...
Students and I have watched the keynote speaker. ( We still need to make comments but time ran out during class.)
All students have asked for their outsourced video. Some have go theirs back so thank you to those involved. Most have contributed videos back to other students.
One of my girl's requests was deleted in the 'muddle' so I am not sure whether anyone has done hers.
Still need to work out how to grab the outsourced videos back in to their… Continue

Ok well I have now completed a request for someone. I made the movie about our Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser that the local community had. I hope that she will like it. I wrote my script and have started shooting some scenes already. I am well on the way and am just waiting for my requests to be answered and get some short film clips. I have continued on editing some of our group's wiki and commented on other people's ning.

I think Dr. Freedman is trying to explain the meaning of flatness and how you can be a member in it. His advice helps me to be successful in the flat classroom project and it helps me to make a good video. On his video, Dr. Freedman mentions 7 skills which will help me to deal with flat world. Some of these skills are being able to collaborate with others, managing your own time and working well as a part of a team.

Dr. Freedman's video was basically a layout of advice on how to succeed while participating in the Flat Classroom Project. He talks about how the way communication is now global and takes a team to be effective. He also talks about how, if we work as a team, how vital everyone's part in the process is key. Dr. Freedman also adds information on how to manage and evaluate information effectively.
I plan on incorporating Dr.Freedman's advice into my video and also in working on the Flat… Continue

His video to means to me being prepared for how to deal with other projects outside of school. When we have our careers it will be useful to know the 7 skills he talked about. Being able to collaborate with other, carrying out research on your own, manage our time, working as part of the team, reflecting on what we've learnt, thinking creatively, and playing an effective part in the project. As he said these skills will help us throughout our life.
Our wiki does need to be as good as… Continue

To carry out the researches on my own meaning being able to understand and evaluating the information. Managing my schedule and being able to work with others. Putting my effect into the project and working hard to make it right. Remembering what I've learned and put my creativity and thoughts into the project is the key to success in the flat… Continue

Dr. Freedmans keynote means a great deal to me. It provided infromation that would help me and many others in making a better video. It also gave me words that would help me become succesful in a flat world. The one thing that stood out was the list of skills that we need to survive in a flat world. The one skill that stood out the most was being able to collaborate with others. The reason it stood out was because in a flat world, we all work together. Which means that sometimes we will bump… Continue

From what Dr. Freedman said in his video it meant to me that in order to succeed in this life or in a job such as international business a person has to be able to get along with people from all over the world, to understand their culture and how they are as a person. In order to be successful a person has to know how to be a team member, a collaborator, a contributor when it comes to a group project and not be just be an observant.
With the information that Dr. Freedman gave i think… Continue

In today's world, Dr. Freedman mentions how competition for work is global. You are no longer just competing with your countryman, but from people on other continents. In this flat world, new technologies bring on new opportunities and you must capitalize on these opportunities in order to be successful.
With his information, I've learned that working with my teammates, researching and playing an effective part in the project will result in a good video. Like he said, "If your wiki… Continue
