Definitely this week has proved to be quite difficult. I needed to receive and send my outsoucred videos which I think I couldn't have started creating my video without. I had to finish off my storyboards, which proved to be veryeasy in fact. I needed to compare it to the design specifications, which did not take that long to be honest. I have already started with creating my video and plan to have it in by the deadline or even before. The only down side of this week was that I couldn't come… Continue

During week five, we were asked to go on the wiki and request an outsourced video that will be included in the final Multimedia created during the CREATE Stage of this project. After that we were also asked to work on editing the wiki and add information to our pages in the WIKI. It seems that when i check back to see who is completing my outsourced video, I found that someone already was nice enough to do it for me. I am also in the process of looking to help someone with their outsourced… Continue

I need an outsourced video so I sent a request and hopefully, someone will answer it soon. We don't have that much time left before the due date so I need to work more on finishing my designs and make them meet my design specifications. Once I am finished I will hopefully begin to put together my video.
For my outsourced video, I wanted a 30-40 second clip of someone using a wireless device to connect to the Internet. It is supposed to show how people need and use… Continue

For the past week I have been working on my storyboard. I have finished coming up with three design for my story board. However I still did not chose my final plan because I need to contact CMU and Aljazeera to see if I was able to get an interview from them. Based on the answer they will give me I will be able to chose my final design. Other than that I have looked at some of the outsourced videos that other people want us to do. Amira and I, decided to do a video… Continue

We were asked to do a mini blog about what we've done this week (or in the past few weeks) on what we've done on our group wiki pages. My page
is about Google, and I've signed myself up as the page editor. I've added a few pictures and changed the fonts to make the page look a bit more presentable. I've done my part to contribute to the section on the background of Google. I've signed up to contribute… Continue

This week i have contacted ROTA about an interview with them about social entrepreneurship and how they have used the World Wide Web to expand their organization. I am still talking to them and have not yet got an interview, but I think the date will be set in the beginning of next week. I am looking on how I can build my video around the interview with ROTA and what kind of other information and clips I will need to add in my video.…

The presentation was about citizen journalism and how it came to be known to us today. The Dean of Northwestern University. It was very interesting it see how citizen journalism evolved through time and became very successful. One of the most important information of our lives was brought to us by citizen journalism, it was the Tsunami that had occurred a few years ago. Most of the pictures were given to the news reporters by citizens on vacation that had witnessed this horrid scene. Today we… Continue

On Thursday, we had a keynote speaker come speak to us about citizen journalism. After having listened to his speech and heard what he said, I now understand more about what this is about. Normal people could use blogs, twitter, www.ohmynews.com, and other internet resources to report the news for themselves. I know truly see the point behind this type of journalism and believe that it could become the major method of obtaining news in future.

Dr. Roth, the dean of North Western came to us today to talk to us about 'Citizen Journalism'.
What is Citizen Journalism?
What I had understood from the lecture we got from the dean is that citizen journalism, is the news that we get from people. Not professionals in a job; for example the Tsunami, there were not professionals waiting there so citizens, and tourists had to take pictures and give them to the news broadcasts. This is an example of Citizen Journalism where the people… Continue

What is Citizen Journalism
We were asked to look at citizen journalism, and how it is developing in our world today.
The information I found on the topic was on what Citizen Journalism is. It is basically the concept of ordinary people, citizens, sharing their thoughts on the world and their life with the rest of the world. `this is usually, and easily done by using the internet. Examples include blogspots, such as www.blogger.com
