Video pitch

My video is going to be about how robotics impacts education at all levels. Im going to start it with a computer screen typing “how does robotics impact education?” and then it will lead to slides explaining facts and types of robotics and how they affect education. While this is happening I will have my outsource clip playing. Then I will end with some type of article or example of a real life situation where robots…

My video will consist of research slides and short clips along with having music to go along with it. My video will begin with a video of the inside of a…

Keynote

My experience in the FCGP project has, in fact, been very flat. I have not experienced any difficult limitations in reaching out to other people, other than some that may have been given to me by my teacher. There have not been any walls in my way, stopping my learning, which would leave me to believe that it is flat. I have been able to gain information from other people through this project because there have been no struggles or obstacles in the…

Video Pitch - Makerspaces and Society

My video about makerspaces and society will show how creative new technology can come from makerspaces. It will show how a 3-D printer has become better through its journey in a makerspace. It will show how a place in which people with shared interests, especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge. My video will show people with shared ideas and different ideas working to better a 3-d printer. It will show their…

online learning individual

online learning is for people that could have disabilities to read and write. so if the computer read the story to the person that's using online learning will have no problem on reading or writing. the person could type instead of write, and they would only have to listen to the story instead of reading to themselves.

Respnse

Growing up before the technological advancement of recent years, my learning experience has for the most part been flat, Sure we had the occasional pen-pal in Kindergarten and 1st grade, but for the most part we didn't communicate with others outside the state or country (Unless someone moved here from said place). But once technology advanced to the point where we could communicate with almost anyone in the world, I was amazed. I could talk with anyone in the world and exchange ideas,…

Responses to Blog Post

  1. My learning was flat, but it didn’t feel as flat as it probably could have been.  The sites we used were awkward and not very efficient or easy to use.  My group members did not really communicate at all, nor did we do anything besides post in the same google document.  I was excited to work with new people, but when nobody really worked together, the excitement and idea of “flat learning” was lost.                          The main things that were new and exciting to me…

One Classroom, One World: Response

I don’t believe my learning was that “flat” until I started my sociology class. Before that, I just stayed in the classroom and spoke to the teacher and the students there. We stayed in the school for the full 8 hours, and didn’t often get to go out into the world. What we did online was with the other students in the class, and never with another school.

Honestly, nothing was that “new and exciting” for this project, at least for me. Despite my…

Response to One Classroom, One World

I consider my learning experiences from the FCGP very ‘flat’. I easily had access to lots of information on my topic as well as others. I was also able to communicate with a lot of different people around the world. Being able to work on a project with people from different states/countries was very new and exciting for me. I’m used to working on things with people around me in person, so being able to interact with others and work on a project online was a very new different…

Keynote Questions

  • I have not had any learning experience in this project. It is very frustrating because I find it difficult to connect with people that are not face-to-face.
  • This project is not exciting. I prefer working and learning independently.
  • My group did not talk at all ,and its hard to work with people when you do not talk to each other.

Blog Post One Classroom

1. My flat learning experience with this project has been so far really good. I’ve met lots of new people all over the United States and the world. It’s neat to see all of us working together on the same project and sharing our ideas together to further understand our topics we were assigned. I think the only downside to this project is the amount of work that is required but it’s not that bad, I mean at least we're not writing an 6 page essay about a…

Flat Connections Global Project Experiences

1. How "flat" was your learning?

Very "flat," as I was able to connect with people across the nation and across the world, thousands of miles away in just seconds.

2. What was new and exciting to you?

The ability to connect with people around the globe in seconds and collaborate with them on a project is very exciting to me. Sharing my ideas and interests with others is one of my favorite things to…

"One Classroom, One World" Response

  • My learning has been flat to an extent. I have been able to connect with people around the world and talk with them but I was limited to working with a small group of students based on my group
  • I think what excited me the most was how far away some of the students I get to meet and work with are. The idea of working with people half way across the country and some even on the other side of the world is very interesting and opens you up to new ideas.
  • I feel like the…

My experiences in the Global Project

My learning was not flat during this project because I was able to talk to many different people around the world. I gained many insights on different viewpoints of my topic and theme because each person had something different to contribute

One thing that was new and exciting was talking with different people through the different blog posts. It was similar to other social media I use, but different in the sense that you were able to talk to…
