Building bridges for the future through collaborative projects
I think Don Tapscott has a good idea of how us teens are from his norms but he acts like he knows all of us and he kind of puts a label on us saying that we are all computer savvy or tech savvy. I think some of the norms are true like customization and freedom because most if not all teens are both of those. Other than that Tapscott just kind of judges us.

Our generation is totally different than previous generations. Different things have become normal and important for us such as freedom and personalization. Knowing these characteristics help focus the learning process of our generation. Making changes including shifting from instruction to discovery and going to one size fits one instead of one size fits all. Methods such of these will greatly benefit classroom learning.

Students will create a short (1-2) minute video that is to be used as a digital handshake, or a way to present themselves to someone whom they do not know. Students will only be able to use video, images and information…Continue

So far in in Computer Applications, we have been working on the Flat Classroom Project for NetGenEd 2013. Currently, I am part of the topic, 3D Printing, and am working in collaboration with several students around the world on the subtopic, Freedom (Choice). Also, working on this project with several different students…Continue
