Hello all. I'm here in India and taking in the culture,it's all very exciting.Today we had a field trip we went and visited (non-government organization) NGO schools. The school we attended was Akansha mean ray of light or hope. It was really humbling to se these kids work so hard and want to learn. I can really appreciate how much we have in america . As americans we have a habit of taking a lot for granted. Our schooling systems give us so many opportunities to better our selves and we are… Continue

The first question asks if we are using Global Collaborations as something with the similarity of the Pandora's Box as something we are not going to be able to control. In my opinion I believe that Internet and Collaboration is something that will grow, but I think it is not going to be able to be something that we can control. This Collaboration that we do everyday is something that gets bigger everyday.
The Second question asks how we can prepare the 17 year old so it can… Continue

After listening to the keynote address the things I like the best was the way it put the whole project into prospective. I believe that this project is a prototype for future ways of doing collaborative work across the globe. I believe that this project presents a challenge as the participants live in different time zones. Furthermore I believe the biggest challenge so far has been the individuals that have been slowe to get on the flatclassroom ning.

The flatclassroom project video helped to see this project in a whole new light. it helped me realize that this our personal version of avatar It had alotta pictures that and was a good example for how we can set up our video. It also allows us to see where the world id heading as far as new technology. we also see how communication and globalizing the world is made easier.

This video outlines a lot of facts that should be basic knowledge but are unknown to many. For example, I myself did not know that the internet is only 17years old. The internet has allowed for this Flat Classroom Project, which is just another way that the world is becoming flat. I think that this project has opened up so many avenues that would otherwise not be explored. I can honestly say that I would not go out looking for people in other countries to communicate with. As the speaker said,… Continue

The flatclassroom project is our version of Avatar, and we are the experiments exploring this whole new virtual world. This project actually helps us get familar with the new technologies and learn new ways to make communication better and improve our skills. By learning and experiencing these new things we will better our actual world and make our workplace a pleasant enviorment!

Technology an be used for global problmes because we can talk to other people about how to slove global problems.I have experance the "flat world" as a teen because Im living in it now. Facebook,E-mail,Workflow software,ect... These things have grown leaps and bounds. We outsource alot of things and it will contuine to get bigger and bigger. I think that the flatclassroom project is a great way to experance the world in diffrent ways. I agree with what she said about how 17 year old… Continue

Well, what a video full of talking...it had some cool pictures and a movie clip from the greatest movie ever: Avatar! Anywho, I just wanted to point out that the internet is the same age as me! So it must be going through the same teenage problems as me (hope not). I feel that she is saying that everything is in our hands, well the future. We can do many things...we have the power and knowledge to be the next inventor of the next big thing.

Well overall the video was ok and intresting some how it showed information we need it to know and it also shows all kind of websites we frequently use and how internet is our first resource for anything we need to know.
