In this book about educating inventive thinkers and entrepreneurs, Zhao investigates the benefits of learning with the application of technology. This relates to the project because it aligns with the idea of collaborating with students and teachers through a technological platform and encourages creative thought on new technology.

I recently did some research on the book "Open" by David Price. The book is about how technology is revolutionizing the way people share knowledge and the move people seem to be making towards a general openness in all environments. In addition the author touched on the push for more internet based information sharing. This connects to the project because many of the topics we are covering directly relate to the new ways people are assessing information.

Over this past week, our class has been looking at the books that influenced the creation of this global project. I looked at Open: How We'll Work, Live, and Learn In The Future by David Price. The book Open talks about the way that technology is changing the way information is acquired. It discusses the shift in source of information coming from teachers to the internet and how this effects education. This book directly relates to the project that we are doing on here and more…Continue

So starting at 4:05 today, I will be on Spring Break and probably not on Ning for the next week. I actually don't really know what I'll be doing for the break but if I'm not doing anything, I'll be working on my unfinished school projects and doing a show binge of some series that I like, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who, Gintama, One Piece, and a few others. I'll also be trying to work out more because I haven't been doing that very much lately.
I also may be…Continue

It talked about how technology is becoming more and more prevalent in our world today, and examined social behaviors of humans adapting to this technology. Anyways, spring break is coming up this week. However, i'll be working every single day at a theme park here in San Antonio, Six Flags Fiesta Texas! I'm really excited…Continue

My Horizon Report is about Virtual and Remote Laboratories. Virtual and Remote labs can help bring the community together by helping people learn about things from far away. For example, the EU funded a project that brings virtual equipment to schools that lack lab equipment. NCSU(North Carolina State University) helped four NC rural school districts to learn about Theorems on Geometer's sketchpad. I think that Virtual and Remote Labs can help people at any point in the world by the time…Continue

The school I go to has a lot of people in it, and sometimes it’s really hard to get to class on time. But it’s worth it, because I met a lot of nice people and made new friends.
