I have been a teacher, administrator and superintendent in urban and suburban schools since 1970. In 2008 I founded innovation3 llc, an innovative teaching firm in Massachusetts. I have graduate degrees from Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English and Harvard University's School of Education. I am immediate past president of the Massachusetts’ affiliate of ASCD. I write, speak, teach, and consult on teaching and learning for today’s educators and students. I am passionate about topics such as communities of practice, communication in a digital age, universal access to learning, and the participatory culture of the Internet and Web 2.0. I blog at innovation3 (tr.im/i3blog) and at Education Week's LeaderTalk blog (tr.im/i3leader). You can find more information about me at my innovation3 wiki (tr.im/i3wiki).
