About Me:
Hello, my name is Cassidy. I am a teenage girl with brownish blonde hair and hazel eyes and I am a junior in highschool. I live in a small town outside of Madison. I am an only child and I have one dog his name is Calvin. I live in the suburbs and there is cornfields and farms around my town. I enjoy sports especially soccer. I have played soccer since I was 5 years old. I am looking at colleges now and I am interested in an education major but do not know where I want to attend but know I want to go somewhere in state. I have about 5-6 really close friends but enjoy most of my grade. I don't like ice cream or cheese very much but love milk so not everyone in this state loves cheese or ice cream. I also do not like soda or cake. My favorite restaurants are Olive Garden, Culver's, and Buffalo Wild Wings. I love italian food. I love snapchat and twitter and instagram. I like taking naps and hanging out with friends and family. I am national honors society in my school and volunteer a lot in my community. I tutor a 8th grade and love to work with kids. I also want to travel the world when I get older.

    • How 'flat' was your learning? My experience in this project was very flat because I had access to all information at all times and I had people around the world to work with which is the most flat learning I’ve ever had in my education.

Comments on your YouTube video: You used contrast with/without to make your opening point, then used it again with the outsourced video.. The hand drawn signs were effective and well-timed. All I needed to know more would have been some examples of what students were doing and how they were being creative.

It is good to hear from you! I am looking into 2nd or 3rd grade, maybe a little older too.

Hi Cassidy, I was looking into an education major after high school too. I am only a junior but I am pretty set on being a teacher. I am still looking into schools to attend. What grade level did you want to teach?

Hi Cassidy, there are so many classes we take to become a teacher. First you have your core classes, which every major takes these classes. Those are your basic classes (math, history, English/writing classes, humanities, science, etc) Then you have your education classes that teach you how to teach math, history, science, etc. As well as classes that teach you how to manage your classroom, integrate technology in your classroom, how to assess your students, how to make lesson plans, and so much more!

It's amazing because we do practicums (we observe classrooms/get involved in classrooms) and its a great experience as well as it helps you determine what grade type you really want to teach!
